The $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller at the World Series of Poker 2024 has culminated in spectacular fashion with the victory of Germany’s Daniel Perkusic. In an event full of excitement and great plays, Perkusic stood out among 187 entries, taking home the title and a prize of $2,100,325.

From the start of the event, Perkusic demonstrated his skill in the Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller. He went into the final day without a WSOP bracelet to his credit, but that didn’t stop him from navigating the final table masterfully.
The final duel was against Danny Tang of Hong Kong, who also showed an impressive performance. Tang had to settle for second place and a prize of $1,400,217. Despite his efforts, he was unable to overcome the winning streak of Perkusic, who sealed his victory with a full house on the final hand.

Highlights of Day 3
The third day started with only five players, all ready to fight for the High Roller title. Santhosh Suvarna was the first to be eliminated.
With a short stack, Suvarna faced Perkusic in a crucial hand. Suvarna had aces on the flop, but Perkusic beat him with a set, eliminating him from the tournament.
Later, Ronald Keijzer and Tang created a huge pot of more than 20,000,000 chips. Keijzer attempted a bluff on the river on a paired board, but Tang, with an accurate read, paid with the second best hand, eliminating Keijzer from the tournament.
With more than half of the chips in play, Tang seemed to have the victory assured, but Perkusic did not give up and started winning important pots. Perkusic finally took the lead when he eliminated Jim Collopy in third place with aces against kings.
The final hand
The final hand of the Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller was decisive. Tang, with a low flopped set, found himself up against Perkusic’s top two pair. The K♣9♦6♦ flop looked favorable for Tang, but Perkusic held up.
On the turn A♦, Perkusic asked for an ace or a nine, and was granted his wish with the river 9♥, securing a full house and his victory.
Tang moved all-in with the rest of his chips, confident in his set. Perkusic, however, had a solid hand that he improved on the river, sealing his win and earning his first WSOP bracelet.
The World Series of Poker 2024 is still ongoing, and the poker community expects to see more outstanding performances in the remaining events. Perkusic, now with a bracelet in his possession, will surely become a figure to watch in the coming tournaments.
