Miembros del salón de la fama del póker del 2011 al 2025

The Poker Hall of Fame represents the highest distinction in the world of poker, an honor reserved for the most influential and iconic figures of the game. Since its creation in 1979, the induction process has evolved, but its essence remains: to celebrate the players and personalities whose contributions have shaped poker as we know it. The period between 2011 and 2025 is particularly fascinating, as the Poker Hall of Fame has recognized legendary figures for their impact on the game, whether as elite players or as key contributors to the industry. This article reviews, year by year, the new members, highlighting their achievements and legacies.

A legacy beyond the cards

The Poker Hall of Fame, founded in 1979 by Benny Binion, honors those who have left an indelible mark on the world of poker. Each year, the community nominates candidates, and the living members of the Hall, along with a panel of experts, vote for the new immortals. Between 2011 and 2025, 24 people were inducted, reflecting the game’s evolution and global expansion.

Criteria and induction process

The induction process is rigorous and designed to maintain the highest standard of excellence. According to the Poker Hall of Fame governance, the criteria are clear and meticulously applied. For players, the conditions include having regularly faced the most recognized competition in the world, being at least 40 years old at the time of nomination, having consistently participated in high-stakes games, having demonstrated consistently excellent play, earning the respect of other professionals, and their career must have “stood the test of time,” implying longevity and continued relevance. Since 2009, the WSOP has organized a public nomination process, and the living members vote among the finalists.

Year by year

Between 2011 and 2025, the Poker Hall of Fame has reflected the diversity of the game: from legends of the 1970s to modern stars, from promoters and commentators to world champions. Each member represents a facet of poker: technique, charisma, innovation, or legacy. With each new induction, a new chapter is written in the history of this game that, beyond the cards, celebrates the mind, passion, and community.

This diversity enriches the Hall of Fame’s legacy and ensures it remains a faithful reflection of the many facets that make up the vast and exciting world of poker. Each new inductee not only enters an exclusive club but also becomes a fundamental part of the living history of this game.
