Courchevel is a type of poker that is derived from Omaha. In this version, each player is dealt five hole cards (instead of the four in Omaha). The most notable difference in Courchevel is that before the first round of betting, one of the community cards (the first card of the flop) is revealed. This gives players additional information before deciding whether to continue in the hand or not.
Like in Omaha, players must use exactly two of their hole cards and three of the community cards to form the best possible five-card hand. This version is usually played as a pot-limit game, where betting is limited to the size of the pot; because of this, most of its players engage in high-stakes games.
