Blinds

The blinds (big and small) are forced betting positions. These bets are the game’s engine, ensuring money is always in the pot.

Small blind

The small blind is the first mandatory bet, usually half of the big blind. It is located to the left of the button (dealer). In this position, bets are made without having seen the cards, which can put the player at a relative disadvantage.

Big blind

The big blind is the second mandatory bet, usually double the small blind and establishes the minimum bet size. It is located to the left of the small blind.
