GGPoker Super Million$

The final table of the 42nd edition of the GGPoker Super Million$ High Rollers was played and this time it was a special occasion for the Spanish armada, as Adrian Mateos won his first victory in the tournament and a purse of $428,624.22.

This edition of the GGPoker Super Million$ High Roller, the Asian venue’s flagship tournament, drew a total of 212 players and amassed a total prize pool of $2,120,000, surpassing the $2 million guaranteed prize pool it offers week in and week out by 120,000.

The final table guaranteed high-level poker, bringing together regular players of which eight of them already knew what it was like to play at the final table of the tournament. It also included the reigning champion, Brazilian Yuri Martins Dzivielevski, who was looking to defend his title and achieve the double in consecutive weeks.

However, the victory went to Spanish pro Adrian Mateos after he beat Mexico-based Cypriot Aliaksei Boika in the Heads-Up final. With his first GGPoker Super Million$ win Adrian took home a prize of $428,624.22, while Boika pocketed $330,514.36 for second place.

It is worth noting that Mateos had started the action as chip leader and despite losing the lead to Boika, he managed to keep up the good pace and fortunately managed to raise his stack until he reached heads-up play with the Cypriot and beat him. A well-deserved victory for the Madrid native, especially considering he has played all 42 editions of the GGPoker Super Million$.

The GGPoker Super Million$ High Roller 42 final table standings ended as follows:

  1. Adrian Mateos (Spain) $428,624.22
  2. Aliaksei Boika (México) $330,514.36
